When it comes to color correcting photos I would just think Photoshop, because it has photo in the name. I have come to realize that Lightroom is a easier and faster way when it comes to color correcting photos. Especially when you are editing more that one. Here is a quick breakdown of tools and effects I use to improve the look of all my photos.

One of the first things I do when editing a photo is get my white balance how I want. There is custom presets built in or customize the WB to get the look you want.

If you have multiple photos that are all relatively the same (white balance/exposure…). You can edit one photo from that collection and synchronize your adjustments to the rest of those photos in that collection. So, in the time it takes you to edit 1 photo you are able to edit 3 or 300.

The side by side comparison is one of my favorite parts of light room.

The adjustment brush tool is great when there a spots in your photo that a little under or over exposed. By highlighting over the dot it creates to indicate  where you brush has starting it shows you in red where you brush is applied.

You have a couple options when you are ready to export your photo or photos.If you have mulitple photos, select the ones you wanted exported. If you just have photo and you are going to open it up in Photoshop right away, you are able to send the photo to Photoshop as a smart object. Note, if you make any adjustments to the photo in Lightroom after you have sent it to photoshop the photo will not update in Photoshop. If you make changes in Lightroom save the meta data in Lightroom after the adjustments are made.
